WNBA star Caitlin Clark is set to return to action with the Indiana Fever this Saturday, the team announced on Friday. Clark’s anticipated return will be in the matchup against the New York Liberty. Clark has been absent from the court for the last five games due to a quadriceps injury suffered on May 24, precisely against the Liberty. During this week, the player has been training to prepare for her return, marking the first time she has missed games in her professional and college career. In addition to Clark, the Fever could have Sophie Cunningham for Saturday’s game. Cunningham has participated in only four games this season, due to an ankle injury she suffered in late May.The Fever, with a 4-5 record, have achieved a 2-3 balance without Clark in the lineup.Fever coach Stephanie White told the media on Friday that she expected both Clark and Cunningham to play, unless setbacks arose.
