La Romana – Los Toros del Este have announced their game plan for the crucial week of the Round Robin, including the starting rotation and the incorporation of Puerto Rican catcher Onix Vega, who joins the team for the decisive phase of the semi-finals.
The Toros team will resume action this Tuesday at the Francisco A. Micheli Stadium, where Justin Courtney will be the starting pitcher against the Leones del Escogido.
On Wednesday, in a key matchup against the Águilas Cibaeñas at the Cibao Stadium, Jaime Barría will take the mound. On Thursday, back home against the Escogido, it will be the turn of the left-hander Enny Romero, while Aaron Leasher will open on Friday, again at home, against the Águilas.Onix Vega Strengthens the Reception
Jesús Mejía, general manager of the Toros, announced the arrival of Onix Vega, who arrived in the country this Monday and will be available to play from this Tuesday. Vega, 26 years old, is known for his outstanding defense in the catching position, his ability to frame pitches and his reliable arm.
