WrestleMania Expands: Saudi Arabia to Host in 2027

For the first time in its history, WrestleMania, the pinnacle event of professional wrestling, will be held outside of North America. In 2027, the “Showcase of the Immortals” will move to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, as part of the “Riyadh Season”. Since its inception in 1985, WrestleMania has been held exclusively in North American cities. This decision marks a significant milestone for WWE and its global expansion.

This is an opportunity to show the world that WWE is a global brand that reaches every corner of the world and excites fans everywhere.

The official announcement comes a few days after Turki Alalshikh, chairman of Saudi Arabia’s General Entertainment Authority, mentioned the event in a live Snapchat video, which was subsequently deleted.

WrestleMania is already the most important date on the wrestling calendar, and this announcement marks a significant moment in our partnership with WWE. Our vision is to elevate this iconic event to unprecedented heights and deliver a WrestleMania like never before seen.

WWE has been holding events in Saudi Arabia since 2018, as part of a billion-dollar deal that includes multiple shows over ten years. Next year’s Royal Rumble will be the first of WWE’s “Big Four” events to be held in Saudi Arabia.

Meanwhile, WrestleMania 42 will be held at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas on April 18 and 19, 2026, marking the second consecutive time that Las Vegas hosts the event.
