John Cena to Headline WWE Premium Event in Indianapolis
The renowned wrestler John Cena will lead a WWE Premium Live Event next month in Indianapolis, which will be broadcast through ESPN’s direct-to-consumer service. Cena will be accompanied by stellar figures such as Cody Rhodes, Seth Rollins, Becky Lynch, CM Punk, and Drew McIntyre at WWE’s inaugural Wrestlepalooza, scheduled for Saturday, September 20th. The event will begin at 7 p.m. ET at the Gainbridge Fieldhouse. Cody Rhodes, current undisputed WWE champion, Seth Rollins, World Heavyweight Champion, and Becky Lynch, intercontinental women’s champion, join the card. This event will mark Cena’s last appearance in Indianapolis as a wrestler.This event is the first of a new five-year agreement between WWE and ESPN, which will bring Premium Live Events to ESPN platforms. ESPN’s direct-to-consumer service will premiere on Thursday, and subscribers to the unlimited plan will have access to all WWE Premium Live Events as part of their package.
Indianapolis hosted the 2025 Royal Rumble, setting an attendance record for the event at the nearby Lucas Oil Stadium. Tickets for the event will go on sale starting Friday at 10 a.m. ET. Presales will be available on Thursday. In addition, two more events will be broadcast on ESPN platforms this year: the Crown Jewel on October 11 and Survivor Series in San Diego on November 29.On September 20th, WWE and ESPN are joining forces for a must-see event that will kick off our new collaboration.
