Las Vegas, Nevada – This year’s WNBA Finals Game 1 has marked a significant milestone in terms of viewership, recording the most-watched Game 1 since the league’s inaugural season.

An average of 1.9 million viewers tuned in to witness the match where Las Vegas defeated Phoenix with a score of 89-86 last Friday.

This figure represents a 62% increase compared to the previous year’s game involving the New York and Minnesota teams.

The peak audience during the game reached 2.5 million viewers.

So far, only the 1997 championship, which was decided in a single match, surpassed this audience figure.
