Caitlin Clark Will Miss the Indiana Fever’s Next Game

The star of women’s basketball, Caitlin Clark, will not be present at the next Indiana Fever game against the Atlanta Dream on Tuesday. This was confirmed by the team’s coach, Stephanie White, to the media. This absence will mark the fifth consecutive game that Clark misses due to a quadriceps strain suffered on May 24 against the New York Liberty. Initially, the team reported that she would be out of action for at least two weeks.

“Let’s be smart, cautious, and long-term. We will make her come back intentionally,” White affirmed.

Clark had mentioned on Thursday that, after a reevaluation, he could return for Tuesday’s game, but he wouldn’t be rushed. White indicated on Monday that Clark is “ready to start stepping up” and has been able to participate in some parts of the training. Sophie Cunningham’s situation is also similar. Cunningham, who has been limited to only four games this season due to an ankle injury, also had restrictions in Monday’s practice. After facing the Atlanta Dream on Tuesday, the Fever won’t play again until Saturday, when they host the Liberty. This will give them time to assess the progress of Clark and Cunningham. White explained that the team must evaluate the physical condition of both players and determine how they will gradually integrate into the game. «We must work to get both of them ready for the game», he concluded.
