A’ja Wilson Injures Wrist in Game Against Liberty

The current WNBA MVP, A’ja Wilson, was ruled out for the second half of the game between the Las Vegas Aces and the New York Liberty on Tuesday night due to a right wrist injury.

The injury occurred in the second quarter, when Wilson fell on her right arm and wrist while attempting a layup. She remained on the court for a few minutes, surrounded by her team, but was able to get up on her own.

He continued playing for the next possessions before heading to the locker room just before the end of the first half. She was ruled out during halftime.

Wilson had scored two points, both from free throws, in 14 minutes of play before leaving the game. He returned to the bench midway through the third quarter with his right wrist bandaged.

The Aces lost the match with a score of 87-78, as the Liberty prevailed in the final stretch.

Wilson had already missed three games this season due to a concussion protocol, during which the Aces had a 2-1 record.
