Tsitsipas Reunites with His Father as Coach After Brief Period with Ivanisevic

Stefanos Tsitsipas has decided to work with his father, Apostolos, as his coach again, after ending his collaboration with Goran Ivanisevic, as announced by the tennis player himself. Tsitsipas, 26, ended his partnership with Ivanisevic last week, after less than two months of working together. Ivanisevic, remembered for his successful time as Novak Djokovic’s coach, where they won nine Grand Slam titles. The Greek tennis player, runner-up at the French Open in 2021 and the Australian Open in 2023, has experienced a drop in the rankings, placing him at 30th in the world. In addition, he has failed to get past the second round in the first three Grand Slams of the season.

After his defeat in the second round of the Canadian Open on Wednesday, Tsitsipas shared the news on social media. Tsitsipas’ only notable achievement in 2025 was his victory at the Dubai tournament in February, which was the only tournament in which he reached the final. The tennis player expressed his gratitude for being able to share the court and the journey with his father once more, highlighting the importance of having gone through each chapter of his career together.
