Power Outage Halts Play at Cincinnati Open

CINCINNATI – The third-round day at the Cincinnati Open was interrupted on Monday by a power outage that lasted just over an hour.

The delay began at 5:25 p.m. after Taylor Fritz won the first set on center court 7-6(4) against Lorenzo Sonego. Stefanos Tsitsipas was leading Benjamin Bonzi 7-6(4), 2-5 on court 3.

The game resumed shortly before 6:40 p.m.

The defending champion, Jannik Sinner, was scheduled to play later on Monday night against Canadian Gabriel Diallo.
