Alcaraz Beats Djokovic and Advances to the US Open Final

New York – Carlos Alcaraz demonstrated his youth and talent by defeating Novak Djokovic at the US Open, securing his place in the tournament final. The match, played on Friday, culminated in a score of 6-4, 7-6 (4), 6-2 in favor of Alcaraz, who will face his third consecutive Grand Slam final.

Djokovic, with an outstanding career and 24 Grand Slam titles, seemed to accept defeat against Alcaraz’s push. The Serbian tennis player, 38 years old, reached the semifinals in the four Grand Slam tournaments this season, but did not manage to advance further in any of them.

Alcaraz, the second seed’s victory, puts him in the final against Jannik Sinner or Felix Auger-Aliassime. The championship match will be played on Sunday.

Alcaraz will seek his sixth Grand Slam title and his second at Flushing Meadows.
