Carlos Alcaraz Headlines the Miami Invitational at loanDepot Park

The world’s number one tennis player, Carlos Alcaraz, will lead the Miami Invitational, a one-day exhibition event to be held this year at loanDepot Park, the home of the Miami Marlins, marking the first time a tennis event has been held in the stadium. The event is scheduled for December 8th and will also feature the participation of Joao Fonseca (No. 42), Amanda Anisimova (No. 4), and Emma Raducanu (No. 33). The Invitational will consist of two singles matches, each best-of-three sets, with a 10-point tiebreaker to decide the third set. Anisimova, finalist of the US Open and Wimbledon this year, will face Raducanu, champion of the 2021 US Open. Subsequently, Alcaraz, six-time champion of a major tournament, will face Fonseca, 19 years old and the highest-ranked singles tennis player from Brazil, in the first match between the two.

Featuring two of the brightest female stars like Anisimova and Raducanu along with the first encounter between Alcaraz and Fonseca should be an electrifying night for tennis fans.
