AC Milan made the decision to sack Sérgio Conceição after a season below expectations, where the team failed to qualify for European competitions. The seven-time European champions have apparently reached an agreement with Massimiliano Allegri for his return as coach.
Milan finished the season in eighth position in Serie A, finishing 19 points behind Napoli, the Italian champion.
Conceição had replaced Paulo Fonseca in December, signing an 18-month contract. Allegri led Milan to win the Serie A title in 2011.
