Lille Seeks to Bolster its Attack with Olivier Giroud
Lille has shown interest in signing French striker Olivier Giroud, currently with LAFC. A source confirmed the news. Giroud, 38, joined LAFC a year ago after his contract with AC Milan ended.
Despite his outstanding career as France’s all-time top scorer, with 57 goals, Giroud has only scored three times in 20 MLS matches. His first goal came in his sixteenth appearance.

Lille finished last season in Ligue 1 in fifth position, which secured them a place in the next Europa League. Giroud, world champion with France in 2018, also played for Chelsea, where he won the Champions League in 2021.
