Acuña returned to the Braves at the end of May, almost a year after suffering a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee. Since then, he has maintained an excellent performance, with a .385 average, nine home runs and 16 RBIs before Wednesday night’s game against the Mets. The Home Run Derby this year will take place on July 14, followed by the All-Star Game the next day.“I feel that the expectation and the goal is always to win, no matter what. But more than anything, I’m excited to do it in front of our fans and give them a good show.”
