The Lions seek to consolidate their dominance in Australia
The British and Irish Lions are preparing for their next challenge on Australian soil, seeking to add their third consecutive victory this Saturday. They will face the New South Wales Waratahs in Sydney, in a match that promises strong emotions.
After an initial defeat against Argentina in Dublin, the Lions have managed to prevail against the Force and the Reds, scoring more than 50 points in each of those matches.
Despite their good performance, the team has faced significant setbacks. Tomos Williams suffered a hamstring injury and Elliot Daly injured his arm, both being ruled out of the tour.
To cover Williams’ absence, Ben White was called up to reinforce the scrum-half position. In addition, Owen Farrell joined the team on Friday night as Daly’s replacement.
This will be the fourth Lions tour for Farrell, who already participated in the 2013, 2017 and 2021 campaigns.
