WINNIPEG, Manitoba – The Winnipeg Jets have secured the continuity of forward Gabriel Vilardi, signing a six-year, $45 million contract extension.

Vilardi, who became a restricted free agent last July, completed a previous two-year deal for $6.88 million. In the 2024-25 season, the Canadian player set personal records with 27 goals, 34 assists, and 61 points in 71 games.

The 25-year-old forward, originally from Kingston, Ontario, also added a goal and three assists in nine playoff games, after missing the last 11 regular season games and the first four of the postseason due to an upper body injury.

The Jets acquired Vilardi in June 2023 in a trade that sent Pierre-Luc Dubois to the Los Angeles Kings. Throughout his regular season career, Vilardi has accumulated 90 goals and 85 assists in 270 games played over six seasons, defending the colors of Los Angeles and Winnipeg.
