Giroux Renews with Senators: One More Year for the Veteran in Ottawa

Experienced forward Claude Giroux will continue his career in Ottawa, after agreeing to a one-year contract with the Senators, according to multiple reports.

Giroux, 37, is preparing for his fourth season in Ottawa, after having contributed to the Senators reaching the playoffs for the first time in eight years.

The former Flyers captain scored 15 goals and 35 assists in 81 games, reaching 50 points for the thirteenth time in his career last season.

In his three seasons with Ottawa, he has scored 71 goals. A seven-time All-Star, he has accumulated 365 goals in 18 seasons in the NHL.
