Cam Fowler Secures His Future with the Blues: Million-Dollar Extension

The St. Louis Blues have secured the continuity of defenseman Cam Fowler with a three-year contract extension worth $18.3 million.

The announcement was made on Saturday night by general manager Doug Armstrong. This agreement guarantees Fowler’s presence on the team until the 2028-29 season, with an annual salary cap hit of $6.1 million.

Fowler has proven to be a key element since his arrival to the Blues from the Ducks in December. Last season, he contributed 36 points in 51 games, which was fundamental for St. Louis to reach the playoffs.

In the first round of the playoffs, Fowler set a scoring record for a defenseman of the franchise, accumulating 10 points.

Cam Fowler, who will turn 34 on December 5th, played for a decade and a half with Anaheim before being traded nine months ago. The player originally from Windsor, Ontario, has participated in 1,111 regular season and playoff games since his league debut in 2010.
