New Name for the Tampa Bay Lightning’s Home

The home of the Tampa Bay Lightning, an NHL team, has been renamed Benchmark International Arena. The announcement was made following a multi-year agreement with the mergers and acquisitions firm. The name change is effective immediately. The building, which opened in 1996, has been known as Amalie Arena since 2014. It was the venue where the Lightning celebrated their Stanley Cup victory in 2021, earning their second consecutive championship. The financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed. Benchmark International and Vinik Sports Group, owners of the Lightning, indicated that the partnership includes more than $3 million in non-profit contributions to benefit the community.

Benchmark is a highly respected brand with global reach and strong ties to the Tampa Bay community.

Griggs also added that Amalie Motor Oil will continue to be a corporate partner of the organization.
