Xavier Worthy Suffers Shoulder Injury: Concern for the Chiefs

The Kansas City Chiefs faced a setback in their first game of the season, with an injury suffered by Xavier Worthy, their fastest receiver.

The injury occurred on the third play of the game, when Worthy, attempting a crossing route, collided with tight end Travis Kelce. The incident resulted in quarterback Patrick Mahomes throwing an incomplete pass.

After the incident, Worthy retired to the locker room, and was subsequently ruled out for the rest of the game.

This situation arises at a delicate moment for the Chiefs, who were already playing without Rashee Rice, who is serving a six-game suspension.

The Chiefs’ offense showed difficulties in the first quarter, with Mahomes completing only one of six passes directed to the receivers, achieving just six yards.
