Drake London, Falcons receiver, suffers knee injury

FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. – Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Drake London is undergoing weekly evaluation due to a knee injury, according to head coach Raheem Morris.

London left the game against the Carolina Panthers in the final quarter, in which the Falcons lost 30-27 in overtime. Morris detailed that London is dealing with a problem in the posterior cruciate ligament (PCL) of his left knee.

Before leaving the game, London accumulated seven receptions for 119 yards. This achievement marked his third consecutive game surpassing 100 yards and his fifth game with more than 100 yards in the Falcons’ last six games. London is positioned seventh in the league in receptions (60), fourth in receiving yards (810), and is tied for sixth in receiving touchdowns (6).

In addition, the Falcons also lost their quarterback, Michael Penix Jr., who suffered a left knee injury. Penix will be placed on the injured reserve list and is expected to miss the rest of the season.
