Baker Mayfield Injures Shoulder, Ruled Out for Game Against Rams
INGLEWOOD, Calif. – Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Baker Mayfield has been ruled out for Sunday night’s game against the Los Angeles Rams due to a left shoulder injury.
After leading the Buccaneers on a touchdown drive late in the second quarter, the Tampa Bay quarterback went to the medical tent on the sideline. Initially, Mayfield was listed as questionable to return due to the left shoulder injury, but he returned for Tampa Bay’s next offensive series.
After attempting the last pass of the first half, Mayfield fell to the ground and seemed to feel pain again. He was listed as doubtful to return coming out of halftime, and was then ruled out in the third quarter. He was seen on the sideline with his left arm in a sling.
Before leaving the game, Mayfield completed 9 of 19 passes for 41 yards, with a touchdown and two interceptions. He was replaced by Teddy Bridgewater.
At halftime, the Rams were leading 31-7.
