Sirianni Addresses the A.J. Brown Enigma
Eagles coach Nick Sirianni addressed the speculation surrounding A.J. Brown, following an enigmatic message from the player after Sunday’s game. Sirianni expressed his belief that Brown wants to stay in Philadelphia and suggested that any frustration he may feel is related to his desire to contribute to the team’s victories.Brown had a discreet performance in the game against Tampa, with two receptions for seven yards in nine attempts. The aerial game stalled in the second half, allowing the Bucs to get closer on the scoreboard. After the meeting, Brown refrained from speaking to reporters. Shortly thereafter, he posted a biblical quote on his social media, which read: “If you are not welcome, they do not listen to you, retreat in silence. Do not make a spectacle. Shrug your shoulders and go your way.” The start of Brown’s season has been relatively quiet, with 14 receptions for 151 yards and a touchdown on 28 attempts. His 10.8 yards per reception are below his career average of 15.6. In Week 3 against the Rams, Brown shined with six receptions, 109 yards, and a touchdown, as the Eagles were forced to open up their game in the second half.
