Warriors to Reunite the Curry Brothers
The Golden State Warriors will finalize the union of the Curry brothers by signing experienced guard Seth Curry for the rest of the season, according to sources close to the team.
Seth Curry, who participated in the preseason with the Warriors, was cut before the start of the season due to the team’s financial restrictions.
The franchise is financially limited, which forced them to keep only 14 players at the start of the season. This gave them the space needed to incorporate Seth Curry into the 15th vacancy.
The reunion on the court of Seth and Stephen Curry will have to wait. Stephen, the Warriors’ leading scorer with 27.9 points per game, is out of action due to a left quadriceps injury and a reevaluation is expected in the coming week.
Seth Curry, in his twelfth season in the NBA, began his career in the G League with the Santa Cruz team, but sought his own path in 10 NBA teams to forge his own professional career, away from the shadow of his brother, as he stated.
His success in shooting has been remarkable. The younger Curry has made 945 three-pointers with a 43.3% effectiveness, the seventh-best mark in league history. Last season, he led the NBA in three-point percentage, with 45.6%.
Last summer, Seth Curry felt it was the right time to join Stephen, who always wanted to play with his brother in the NBA.
