Due to budget constraints, the Warriors are in a situation where they cannot afford an additional veteran minimum contract until early November. The vacancy on the roster, which corresponds to the 15th position, will remain unfilled until the guard’s expected return.
Seth Curry, younger brother of Stephen Curry, has been training at the team’s facilities and accompanied the team on its only preseason trip in October, although he has not participated in the preseason games.
Curry began his career at the age of eleven in the G League with the Santa Cruz program, but chose to seek opportunities in other NBA franchises, playing for ten different teams. This decision allowed him to forge his own professional path, seeking to separate himself from his brother’s shadow.
His career has been marked by notable success in shooting. The youngest of the Curry brothers has made 945 three-pointers with an impressive percentage of 43.3%, ranking seventh historically in the league in this area.
This summer, Seth considered the time right to join Stephen, who had long expressed his desire to play alongside his brother in the NBA. Although this reunion has been delayed, the plan is still in place, even after this administrative decision.
