Kevin Porter Jr. Misses Bucks Trip Due to Injury
MILWAUKEE – Kevin Porter Jr. will not participate in the two-game away series against the Milwaukee Bucks due to a sprained left ankle.
The injury occurred during the victory in the inaugural season game against the Washington Wizards.
Porter underwent an MRI and was evaluated by the Bucks team’s orthopedic surgeon, Carole Vetter, on Thursday. The initial diagnosis of the left ankle sprain was confirmed.
The 6-foot-5 guard will not play on Friday against Toronto or on Sunday against Cleveland. The Bucks did not provide any further updates on Porter’s possible return.
Porter, 25, scored 10 points before getting injured at the end of the first quarter of the Bucks’ 133-120 victory on Wednesday.
Last season, after the Bucks acquired him at the trade deadline, he averaged 11.7 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 3.7 assists in 30 games with Milwaukee. Previously, with the LA Clippers, Porter averaged 9.3 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 3.2 assists in 45 games.
