Pelicans and Wizards finalize trade: McCollum, Olynyk and pick for Poole and Bey

The New Orleans Pelicans have agreed to a trade with the Washington Wizards, according to sources close to the situation. In this move, the Pelicans send CJ McCollum, Kelly Olynyk, and a future second-round pick to the Wizards. In return, the Pelicans will receive Jordan Poole, Saddiq Bey, and the number 40 pick. McCollum, in his 56 appearances with the Pelicans last season, averaged 21.1 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 4.1 assists per game. Olynyk, for his part, contributed 10.7 points and 5.9 rebounds in the 20 games he played with New Orleans. Jordan Poole, leading the Wizards in scoring last season, recorded 20.5 points per game, along with 3 rebounds, 4.5 assists, and 1.3 steals in his 68 starts. Saddiq Bey missed the entire season due to recovery from a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee.
