Nuggets’ Christian Braun out with injury

Denver Nuggets forward Christian Braun will be re-evaluated in six weeks after suffering a left ankle sprain during Wednesday night’s win against the Los Angeles Clippers, the team announced Friday. Braun’s injury occurred in the first quarter after Clippers guard James Harden stepped on his right foot, causing Braun to fall awkwardly on his left foot. Although Braun returned to the game in the second quarter, he was visibly limping and did not play again in the second half. Braun underwent tests that revealed the sprain. In the next six weeks, Denver has 17 games scheduled. Braun has become a key player in the Nuggets’ rotation, often defending the opposing team’s best offensive player. In Denver’s first 11 games, he averaged 11.4 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 3.0 assists.
