Jaylen Brown’s Father, Celtics Star, Charged with Attempted Murder
Quenton M. Brown, father of Boston Celtics star Jaylen Brown, was arrested and charged with attempted murder in connection with a stabbing that occurred Wednesday night in Las Vegas, according to multiple reports.
The arrest occurred Thursday morning and he was booked into the Clark County Detention Center. Brown, 57, appeared in court Thursday afternoon and is scheduled to return Tuesday. His bail was set at $300,000.
Las Vegas police reported that the stabbing occurred after an argument in a parking lot. Brown is alleged to have hit the victim’s car as he exited his SUV, which led to the altercation. The police report indicates that Brown allegedly stabbed the victim multiple times.
The victim was taken to a local hospital and is recovering from surgery, according to authorities.
Brown’s lawyer stated that his client was attacked first and that the stabbing was in self-defense.
Jaylen Brown, four-time All-Star and 2024 Finals MVP, has played for the Celtics since he was drafted in 2016.
