Cooper Flagg, Mavericks Rookie, Will Miss Game Against the Knicks

Dallas Mavericks rookie Cooper Flagg will not be available for Wednesday’s home game against the New York Knicks due to an illness, according to coach Jason Kidd. Flagg, who was the first pick of the 2025 draft, was added to the injury report on Wednesday morning, as was forward Caleb Martin. The player did not participate in the team’s shooting practice. Despite dealing with left shoulder discomfort and a sprained right thumb, which has forced him to wear a splint recently, Flagg had started in every Mavericks game, who currently have a 4-11 record. With 18 years old, Flagg averages 15.5 points, 6.3 rebounds and 3.1 assists per game.
