Free agent power forward/center Precious Achiuwa has reached a one-year agreement with the Miami Heat, according to sources close to the situation.

This agreement marks a reunion for Achiuwa with the team that selected him at the number 20 pick in the 2020 NBA draft. The player has had productive stints with the New York Knicks and the Toronto Raptors in the last four seasons.

The Heat have been looking to reinforce their interior game to support their star, center Bam Adebayo, during this season.

In 2021, the Raptors acquired Achiuwa and Goran Dragic from the Heat in a sign-and-trade deal involving Kyle Lowry.

Achiuwa has played in 320 games in his career, averaging 7.6 points and 5.7 rebounds.
