International Motorsport Stars Gather in Brazil for the 6 Hours of São Paulo
São Paulo, Brazil – The World Endurance Championship (FIA WEC) arrives in Brazil from July 11 to 13 for the 6 Hours of São Paulo – Rolex, the only South American stage of the competition. The Autódromo de Interlagos will be the scene of a race that promises adrenaline and excitement, with the participation of prominent figures in motorsport.This year’s edition will feature the presence of world champions and young promises. Among the most anticipated riders is Valentino Rossi, the legendary “Il Dottore”, nine-time world champion in motorcycling. Rossi will compete in the LMGT3 category with the BMW team.
Another name to follow is Kevin Magnussen, former Formula 1 driver, who will make his debut in the FIA WEC with the BMW team in the Hypercar category. Magnussen returns to Interlagos with good memories, as he achieved his only pole position in F1 there in 2022.
Robert Kubica, current champion of the 24 Hours of Le Mans in the Hypercar category, will also be present. Jenson Button, Formula 1 world champion in 2009, could compete in one of his last races as a professional, sharing the Cadillac #38 with Sebastien Bourdais and Earl Bamber.
Brazilian driver Augusto Farfus Jr., one of the most respected names in the endurance world, will represent Brazil. Eduardo “Dudu” Barrichello, son of Rubens Barrichello, will also be in the competition.
