Raphinha, Chosen MVP of LaLiga EA Sports 2024/25
Barcelona’s Brazilian forward, Raphael Dias ‘Raphinha’, has been awarded as the Best Player of the 2024/25 LaLiga EA Sports season, after an outstanding campaign in which he became a key player for the Blaugrana club.
The recognition comes after a successful season for Barcelona, which culminated in the conquest of the league title, the Copa del Rey, and the Supercopa.
Raphinha surpassed several teammates in the final voting, including Lamine Yamal, Robert Lewandowski, and Pedri. He also competed against Real Madrid figures such as Kylian Mbappé, Vinícius Júnior, and Jude Bellingham, in addition to Isco (Betis) and Oihan Sancet (Athletic Club). In his third season with Barça, the Brazilian international crowns his performance with the MVP award, after registering 18 goals and nine assists, in addition to the titles obtained. The 28-year-old winger succeeds Jude Bellingham in the award for the best player in the First Division.His performance during the season earned him the renewal of his contract with the club until June 30, 2028, an agreement he signed on May 22nd. At that time, Raphinha expressed his desire to remain at Barcelona until the end of his sporting career.
Raphinha was also recognized as MVP of the month of August, the first of the competition, and was a candidate for the award in January.
