The participation of these legends is part of the continuous support that historical figures of Dominican baseball have offered to the team during the tournament.
Days before, Juan Marichal, another Hall of Fame member, also honored the team with his presence at a ceremonial first pitch.
With these participations, four of the five Dominicans who have been immortalized in the Cooperstown Hall of Fame have played a prominent role in the protocol events of the recent national team games.
Vladimir Guerrero is the only one who has not yet participated in the ceremonial launch.
