São Paulo – Santos and Neymar have reached an agreement to extend their contract for an additional six months, extending it until the end of December 2025. Neymar’s original contract with Santos expired on June 30th, which led to speculation about his future during the last month. Since his return to Brazil on January 31, Neymar has played 12 matches, scoring three goals and providing three assists. His arrival represented a hope for Santos, who was looking for a good season to secure their permanence in the first division. However, the player has suffered two muscle injuries that have kept him out of the fields in several matches, including the semifinal of the Campeonato Paulista, which Santos lost against Corinthians.
