Blue Jays Celebrate Return to Postseason, Aiming for Division

The Toronto Blue Jays enthusiastically celebrate their official return to the postseason, a milestone that ends years of challenges and unfulfilled expectations. The 8-5 victory over the Kansas City Royals not only secured their place in the final phase, but also reinforces their ambition to conquer the American League East Division title, an achievement they haven’t achieved since 2015.

I am very happy for them. This is the most satisfying team I have been a part of. Everyone has put their egos aside to play for each other, and that’s what has us here.

John Schneider, Manager
With an impressive 90-66 record, Toronto establishes itself as one of the big surprises of the 2025 season, holding the best record in the American League and exceeding initial projections. It is noteworthy that, a year ago, their performance was 74-88. The combination of experience and young talent has created a unique atmosphere in the locker room. Key players like Vladimir Guerrero Jr., Bo Bichette, and George Springer, along with outstanding pitchers like Kevin Gausman and Shane Bieber, form a group that aspires to more than just qualification: victory. The first major goal has already been achieved, but the real mission continues: to secure the divisional crown to directly access the Divisional Series, avoiding the always challenging Wild Card round, in which Toronto has been eliminated in its last three participations (0-2 in each). The Blue Jays are looking to write a new golden chapter in their history, inspired by the achievements of 2015 and 2016. With a renewed team and a thirst for triumph evident in every game, Toronto is determined that the celebration will not be limited to September, but will extend to October.
