Tokyo, Japan – The outstanding Dominican athlete Marileidy Paulino has begun her participation in the Tokyo 2025 World Athletics Championships with an impressive performance, securing her place in the semi-finals of the 400 meters flat.
Paulino, Olympic and world champion, demonstrated her dominance in the qualifying round, completing the test with a time of 49.85 seconds.
The Dominican runner led her heat from the start, exhibiting solid physical condition and impeccable strategic control.
In the final stretch, Paulino accelerated strongly, leaving behind the British Amber Anning (49.96s) and Bassant Hemida (50.36s), who occupied second and third place respectively.
