Jassel Pérez Strengthens Covirán Granada
Dominican guard Jassel Pérez joins Covirán Granada, strengthening the Andalusian team’s roster. His incorporation comes after his time with Grupo Alega Cantabria, in the Primera FEB, where he was on loan. Pérez, 24 years old and 1.90 meters tall, arrives to cover the absences due to injury of Elias Valtonen and Jovan Kljajic. The player had already been part of Covirán Granada since last summer, with the possibility of being re-signed during the season. The coach previously led him at Capitanes de México, of the G-League, which facilitated his incorporation into the Granada team. Pérez is expected to join training this Monday and could debut next Saturday against Dreamland Gran Canaria in the Endesa League. In the current season in the Primera FEB, Jassel Pérez played 10 games, averaging 15 points per game with 50% field goal efficiency, as well as 4 rebounds and 3.3 assists, achieving an average valuation of 16. With this incorporation, Covirán Granada seeks to reinforce its perimeter and add youth and scoring ability to remain competitive.Ramón Díaz, the team’s coach, was instrumental in Pérez’s arrival in European basketball.
