INEFI Revitalizes the Juan Antonio Alix Club in Santiago: A New Chapter for School Sports

Santiago, Dominican Republic – The National Institute of Physical Education (INEFI) has completed the renovation of the emblematic Juan Antonio Alix Club, located in the Venezuela School of the El Congo sector, in the “Heart City”. This initiative marks a significant milestone in the development of school sports in the region. The sports center, which has been a benchmark in the training of athletes and students for more than six decades, now has a completely renovated and modernized infrastructure. The work done by INEFI included:
  • Installation of a new floor.
  • Complete roofing of the facilities.
  • Conditioning of courts.
  • Placement of new seats.
  • Comprehensive renovation of the facade and the building.
During the handover ceremony, the executive director of INEFI, Alberto Rodríguez Mella, highlighted the importance of this work, calling it “a before and after for school sports in the heart city.”
