Eury Pérez Leaves the Mound Due to Injury
Toronto, Canada – Dominican pitcher Eury Pérez was forced to leave his Wednesday start against the Toronto Blue Jays due to right hamstring discomfort. The game took place at the Rogers Centre.
Before his exit, the Marlins’ right-hander had completed four flawless innings. His performance included nine strikeouts, the most for him so far this season.
Television images showed Pérez receiving medical attention in the dugout after showing signs of pain during the pre-game warm-up before the fifth inning. Subsequently, he needed help to go to the clubhouse.
