The Catalan team keeps alive the hope of securing their direct pass to the round of 16, a goal that could be achieved on the last matchday of the group stage against Copenhagen at the Spotify Camp Nou.
The first half of the match in Prague was contested, with a score of 2-2. Fermín López scored two goals (min. 34 and min. 42) to reverse Kusej’s initial lead, before an own goal by Robert Lewandowski at the edge of halftime. Giuliano put Atlético ahead with a header in the 4th minute (0-1). However, Llorente, in an attempt to clear, scored an own goal in the 20th minute, after a cross from Sallai.
The second half saw no changes in the score. This draw complicates Atlético’s aspirations, who have 13 points and are looking for a place among the top eight in the group stage.
