In a spectacular return, Charles Oliveira demonstrated his worth in Rio de Janeiro, just four months after the toughest defeat of his career. Oliveira submitted Mateusz Gamrot in the main event of UFC Fight Night. The victory came 105 days after Oliveira suffered a knockout in a lightweight title fight. Immediately after the victory, Oliveira reiterated his proposal to face the BMF champion and ranked lightweight Max Holloway, a match dating back to 2015.“I’m trying to hold back the tears right now. Before this victory, Oliveira was already ranked number 4 in UFC lightweight. Gamrot was ranked number 8.
