Kyle Stowers Hits Three Home Runs in Historic Game
Miami Marlins left fielder Kyle Stowers had a memorable performance by hitting three home runs in Sunday’s game against the Baltimore Orioles.
This feat represents a new personal record for Stowers, marking a milestone in his career.
Stowers becomes the fourth player in Marlins history to achieve this feat, and the first since Brian Anderson, who accomplished it on September 18, 2020.
Mike Lowell (2004) and Cody Ross (2006) are also part of this select group.
Stowers, selected by Baltimore in the second round of the 2019 amateur draft and later traded to Miami, demonstrated his power at the plate.
In his three at-bats against Orioles starting pitcher Brandon Young, Stowers hit a home run in each of them.
The player, who was selected for his first All-Star earlier this month, sent a ball towards right-center field in the second inning, then repeated the dose in the third inning with a similar pitch.
In the fifth inning, Stowers hit a two-run home run over the right field scoreboard, extending the lead to 7-0.
This is Stowers’ fourth multi-home run game of the season.
