Judge Ties A-Rod: 351st Homer with Yankees, MLB History

In an exciting Sunday encounter, Aaron Judge hit his 36th home run of the season, tying Alex Rodriguez for sixth place in Yankees history. New York’s victory over the Atlanta Braves was 4-2.

Judge’s solo home run in the first inning was number 351 with the Yankees, tying A-Rod. Above them on the list are Babe Ruth (659), Mickey Mantle (536), Lou Gehrig (493), Joe DiMaggio (361), and Yogi Berra (358).

Judge also scored from first base thanks to a double by Jazz Chisholm Jr. in the seventh inning, finishing the game with a hit in four at-bats, a walk, and two runs scored.

Marcus Stroman (2-1) had an outstanding performance, pitching six solid innings in his fourth start since returning from a knee injury. He allowed one run on five hits, striking out four batters without conceding any walks, in his longest outing of the season.

Paul Goldschmidt went 1-for-3 with a walk, an RBI, and a run scored, while Giancarlo Stanton had three hits in five at-bats and scored a run.

Ronald Acuña Jr. hit a solo home run, his 13th of the season, in the ninth inning against Devin Williams, who earned his 14th save for the Yankees.

Matt Olson hit a 442-foot home run, his number 18, which impacted the top of the Chop House in right field in the sixth inning, adding the other run for the Braves.

Grant Holmes (4-9) of Atlanta allowed three runs on seven hits in six innings.
