Dodgers Bolster Catcher Position with Dalton Rushing’s Return
Los Angeles Dodgers activated Dalton Rushing from the injured list this Tuesday, strengthening their roster at the catcher position.
The decision comes after the injury of Will Smith, the team’s starting catcher, who is on the injured list due to a bone contusion in his right hand.
Rushing had been out of action for nine games due to a contusion on his right shin, suffered after hitting a ball. During his rehabilitation, he participated in four games in the minor leagues.
On the other hand, Chuckie Robinson, who had been called up to the main team due to Rushing’s injury, was sent back to Triple-A Oklahoma City.
Robinson didn’t get to play any games before being reassigned. However, he returned last weekend and started in Monday’s loss against Philadelphia, with a score of 6-5.
In the current season with the Dodgers, Rushing has a batting average of .190, with three home runs and 21 RBIs in 45 games.
