Linn Grant leads The Annika with a solid performance
Swedish golfer Linn Grant tops the leaderboard at The Annika, thanks to an outstanding performance that led her to sign a card of 65 strokes (-5) on Saturday. Grant demonstrated her skill on the course, including two 15-foot putts and five birdies in her round. With this performance, Grant seeks to extend her winning streak to six consecutive years, securing at least one victory on the international stage. The Swedish golfer demonstrated consistent play, missing only one green and two fairways at the Pelican Golf Club. Her performance led her to a total of 14 under par (196 strokes), surpassing Jennifer Kupcho by one stroke, who also completed a bogey-free round. Russian Nataliya Guseva also shone with seven birdies in the last ten holes, finishing with a card of 63 strokes. Grace Kim, winner of the Evian Championship, also stayed close with a round of 68 strokes.Grant has managed to keep his game bogey-free for 35 holes, preparing for the final round where he will seek his second victory on the LPGA Tour. The 26-year-old golfer has previously achieved success on the Nordic Golf League, the Sunshine Ladies Tour in South Africa, the Ladies European Tour, and the LET Access Series. With only this tournament and the CME Group Tour Championship remaining on the LPGA schedule, Grant is looking to secure a win in 2025. Jennifer Kupcho stayed close to Grant for much of the day, although she expressed her frustration with the waiting times on some shots. Kupcho attributed the slow pace to a course that was playing approximately 100 yards shorter.I’ve hit a lot of greens. I think that’s been my secret this week. I trust my iron game a lot, I feel like I can go straight at the pins. I’m having a lot of fun.

The current champion, Nelly Korda, who has not achieved any victories this year after seven titles the previous year, overcame some initial bogeys with three birdies in a four-hole stretch. However, a 25-foot birdie putt on the 18th hole did not go in and she missed a 4-foot par putt, finishing with a round of 68 strokes. Korda, who had achieved a 63 in the second round, is six strokes behind the leader.I think the setup was still fine. They do a really good job preparing this golf course every year. It’s a little frustrating when you’re leading or at the back of the group and you have to wait on every shot.

Today was like the first day when nothing was really going well, but then I found some maybe in the last holes and then I finished the round badly.
