PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Florida – Charlie Woods, the 16-year-old son of the legendary Tiger Woods, has achieved another hole-in-one, marking another milestone in his promising golf career.
The young golfer achieved the feat on the third hole of the TPC Sawgrass during the final round of the Junior Players Championship on Sunday. The excitement was similar to what he experienced last December, when he also achieved a hole-in-one at the PNC Championship.
Woods signed a card of 72 strokes, which placed him in 31st place in the American Junior Golf Association event, held at the Stadium course, where his father harvested two victories in the Players Championship.
The tournament winner was Miles Russell, who completed the round with 70 strokes, two strokes ahead of his competitors. Russell, who reached the semifinals of the U.S. Amateur this month, is an alternate for the Walker Cup.
In addition to Woods’ achievement, Guus Lafeber, from the Netherlands, also achieved a hole-in-one on the 8th hole, a par 3. Lafeber finished in 19th place.
