Mikaela Mayer Joins Most Valuable Promotions

The three-division world champion, Mikaela Mayer, has signed with Most Valuable Promotions, Jake Paul’s promoter. Mayer (22-2, 5 KOs) joins one of the sport’s most prominent lists of female boxers, just before the MVPW event debuting in April. Currently, Mayer is the WBA and WBC super welterweight champion, and still holds the WBO welterweight title.

I am excited to join Most Valuable Promotions as we continue to break barriers and elevate women’s boxing to new heights. I have always wanted the biggest and best fights, and MVP’s roster of top-tier champions creates incredible opportunities for those matchups to happen. I am eager to showcase my skills on some of the biggest platforms in the sport and work with a passionate and innovative team that believes in the continued growth of women’s boxing.

Mikaela Mayer
Mayer, 35, represented the United States at the 2016 Olympic Games and made her professional debut a year later. She started with a 17-0 record and was unified junior lightweight champion before suffering her first defeat, a close split decision against Alycia Baumgardner in 2022. She suffered another close split decision against Natasha Jonas in her attempt to obtain a welterweight title in early 2024, but has been on a roll since then. Mayer defeated Sandy Ryan to obtain the WBO welterweight title in September 2024 and successfully defended her title in a rematch in March 2025. Last October, Mayer moved up to super welterweight and dominated Mary Spencer to claim the WBA title and the vacant WBC title.

Mikaela is one of the most successful boxers in women’s boxing and a proven champion in multiple weight categories. She has competed on the biggest stages in the sport, faced the best female boxers in the world, and continues to push the sport forward. We are proud to welcome Mikaela to MVP and look forward to building the next chapter of her career together.

Mayer has been linked to fights with IBF, WBA, and WBC welterweight champion Lauren Price to determine an undisputed champion, as well as a possible main event against female pound-for-pound champion Claressa Shields.
