Moses Itauma Seeks to Silence Critics in His Next Fight
The promising British heavyweight Moses Itauma has expressed his determination to “silence some” in his upcoming clash against American Jermaine Franklin Jr. Itauma (13-0, 11 KOs) returns to the ring on January 24 in Manchester to face Franklin (23-2, 15 KOs), who has shown his resilience by going the distance with Dillian Whyte and Anthony Joshua. Franklin’s experience, known for his toughness, is expected to test Itauma beyond the second round, something only two of his thirteen opponents have achieved. Despite being considered one of the future stars of British heavyweight boxing, Itauma faces questions due to his impressive record and the lack of significant tests so far. After a wait, 20-year-old Itauma will seek to prove his worth against Franklin.Itauma added that he hopes the fight will answer the doubts about his ability. Franklin, for his part, is coming off a victory over Ivan Dychko in September and claims he will seek to disrupt Itauma’s rise in Manchester. The same Franklin declared:Franklin, a great fighter, a great wrestler. The reason everyone feels it’s a perfect fight [for me] is because what he does well, there are question marks in my career. I think this fight is the best for my development. Not only that, I can finally shut some people up.

The world is going to say how great I am as a fighter, what kind of talent I have, what kind of potential I have, and what I can still do.
