WrestleMania Expands: Saudi Arabia to Host the Event in 2027
For the first time in its history, WrestleMania, the pinnacle event of professional wrestling, will be held outside of North America. In 2027, the “Showcase of the Immortals” will move to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, as part of the “Riyadh Season” events. Since its inception in 1985, WrestleMania has been held exclusively in North American cities. The news marks a significant milestone in WWE’s global expansion.The official announcement comes shortly after Turki Alalshikh, chairman of the General Entertainment Authority of Saudi Arabia, revealed the news via a Snapchat video.This is an opportunity to show the world that WWE is a global brand that reaches every corner of the world and excites fans from all over.

WWE has been holding events in Saudi Arabia since 2018, as part of a multi-million dollar deal that includes multiple shows over ten years. Meanwhile, WrestleMania 42 will take place at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas on April 18 and 19, 2026. It will be the second consecutive time that Las Vegas hosts WrestleMania.
